PŪTAHI RANGAHAU/AUT RESEARCH CENTRE

NGX and PRETzel Workshop

The workshop between the Next Generation Systems (NGX) and PREcision Timed (PRETzel) research groups from AUT and UoA happened on Thursday, 11 September, and was a great success. In total, we had presentations from 10 master's and PhD students across both groups, along with productive Q&A sessions after each and larger group discussions about how collaborations can be taken forward.

Key areas for collaboration that were discussed during the workshop included the training and explanation of spiking neural networks, traffic/intelligent transportation systems, formal model-to-model transformations and others. There is definitely scope for future collaboration in these areas.

Thanks to all who attended, especially those who presented, and of course to the research centre for supporting this workshop through afternoon tea for attendees. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year!
